This drive got relatively light duty as additional storage for a single computer, but stopped in just under two years. The system doesn't see it at all, I can't access it. Very disappointed!

I bought this hard drive over a year ago and it worked great...until it didn't. Seagate was quick to help me replace the broken hard drive. The only problem was that the replacement hard drive didn't work. It would spin while making an awful sound but would never be recognized. I tried it on multiple computers and a USB hard drive bay, all had the same issue. So I sent the hard drive back but Seagate claims the drive arrived physically damaged. They ended up sending me the same damaged replacement drive back and claimed they could do nothing else for me. Ridiculous. I'm out a $250 hard drive because they can't be bothered to send me a working replacement.

This was the best price and this works GREAT!

Ordered two drives on August 22, 2023. One Failed 10-09-2024. MFG date on both drives is November 2022. I really don't have time for this and losing data. No matter what the reviews say or what brand you get, it's all just a crap shoot of a pile of crap. I'm tired.

So far, (after a year or two) working fine.Quiet, partitions as expected.I always get rid of included software in a drive, so I can't tell you about that.
